host name would be:
e.g.
http://www.[your_web_address].com
Host IP address would be:
e.g.
202.189.152.225
So – the Name is the web address in words, the IP address is numeric.

host name is something like http://www.google.com an IP address is 255.255.255.255 basically they would take you to the same place just one is easier to remember.
