Question by : Is it possible to install a VPS software on Amazon Web Services, such as EC3?
I want to install a Virtual Private Server on Amazon Web Services so that I can host multiple sites from one account and scale them independently. Is this possible and if so, where can i find out more?

VPSLink is in Seattle, inside Spry’s own data centre. Network performance has been great around the clock, and there has not been any downtime that has been detected (polling at 5 minutes interval).

But you know what is good about hosting in Seattle? Three words — Amazon Web Services. Amazon is also in Seattle, and if you are a heavy user of services like Amazon S3, or want a static IP front-end for your fleet of Amazon EC2 slaves, the latency and bandwidth between your servers and Amazon can make a huge difference.

Question by liteswitch: Is it possible to install Mac OSX v10.5.4 on a pc based machine, in a dual boot configuration with Vista ?
I would like to use a Dell Inspiron 530s intel pentium dual core, is it possible . I am presently Using Vista as the host and Solaris as the guest in Virtual box on the Dell 530s
any idea?

The E2160 Processor is not compatible with OS X. You would need at least an Intel Core 2 Duo (E8000 series)

As a side note, 10.5.4 is dated at this point. 10.5.5 is the most recent release.

i am running ubuntu in virtual box but need to install virtual box guest addition in order to enable file sharing with window host and also to enable USB support.

i have read many times the help file but could not understand. i really need a step by step instruction. Please help.
thanks recommending wubi but i try it with ubuntu7.10 in vista, does not seem to work. is wubi really good ?

I used to use Virtual Box and could never figure out those instructions. I found something even better. It is called wubi. It does the same thing as virtual box in a sence. That is it creates a virtual hard drive for ubuntu but it out performs any virtulization program I have ever used. It can be installed from windows and deleted from the add remove programs section. It allows full use of your computers hardware where as virtualbox only allows partial. I recommend it highly. Check it out. wubi-installer.org

I want to install mac on my virtual machine,but the host OS won’t detect bootable cd on my cd drive, on properties, it says 0 bytes,how do i go about this?

You can’t – you need to do it the other way around. Install Windows as a virtual machine under Mac OS X.

the problem is i can not use wireless connection in VM , actually even it does not have wireless icon to set the wireless option?
i disconnect from host OS and try to connect in virtual pc, but nothing change ?

the way I see this is you install Virtual PC.. then install XP
now you need to install your wireless router drivers the way you would normally do in xp.

what other operating system are you running on the virtual machine?
