JaguarPC Announces Comprehensive Web Hosting Network Upgrades

-

gI 71328 JaguarPClogo JaguarPC Announces Comprehensive Web Hosting Network Upgrades
Fulshear, TX (PRWEB) March 06, 2012

Following the rapid growth of demand for the companys web hosting services, virtual private server (VPS hosting) plans, and dedicated server solutions, JaguarPC announced today a number of network infrastructure upgrades designed to meet the ever-increasing service needs of its customers. Spanning both the back-end and front-end capabilities of the JaguarPC hosting network, these new changes bring JaguarPC web hosting plans to a higher standard than ever.

It doesnt matter if you choose a shared web hosting plan or a reseller hosting service web hosting that is inaccessible or slow can turn visitors and customers away, says Greg Landis, CEO at JaguarPC. We owe it to our customers to make sure that their web presence is always available, and to ensure continuous availability, we must provide the best network for the job. Thats why we review our network setup regularly, and thats why weve chosen a range of upgrades focused on both speed and reliability.

Broadly speaking, a web hosting service network can be divided into the front-end, which faces users directly, and the back-end, which provides vital support to front-end software and services. JaguarPC has made a number of changes across both sides of its network. First, the hosting company has invested in an all-new GigE back-end. GigE, or Gigabit Ethernet, is capable of lightning-fast data transfer at a rate of 1 gigabit per second, facilitating rapid transmission speeds for even the largest of files. Equipped with this new back-end, JaguarPC has also established additional network backhauls and providers for piping data to the Internet backbone. As a result, data can enter and exit the JaguarPC network quickly and efficiently.

The back-end is like the foundation of the network, even though our customers only interact with the back-end indirectly, says Landis. However fast and dependable the front-end becomes whatever changes we decide to implement there everything ultimately depends on the quality of the back-end, which is why we continue to invest in the equipment on that side of our network. But most importantly, with the foundation improved so dramatically, it has become possible for us to introduce even more changes on the front-end of our web hosting solutions.

As well as increasing the front-end capacity of its network by more than ten times, JaguarPC has also introduced new switching hardware that is able to direct traffic more quickly and efficiently. These changes fulfill the potential speed and power as defined by the backbone alterations. In addition, to give VPS hosting services and dedicated server customers complete control over their chosen solution, JaguarPC has added new KVM over IP systems across their entire network. KVM over IP, or Kernel-based Virtual Machine over IP, empowers customers with secure, BIOS-level access from a remote, off-site location. By introducing KVM over IP, JaguarPC customers can become more self-sufficient and less dependent on the availability of support staff within the physical data center.

We havent simply changed a few customer-facing elements of our service; weve invested in the long-term future of JaguarPC, says Landis. Even as we grow and as demand for our servers increases, the capabilities of our newly upgraded network will help us to maintain high quality across every shared web hosting service, VPS hosting service, and dedicated server plan. We are more confident than ever to offer every customer, regardless of their hosting type, an unrivalled 100% network uptime service level agreement (SLA). If we ever fall short of our own high standards, well refund customers ten times the proportional cost of their service during downtime. If the network is unavailable for just two-and-a-half hours, well refund customers an entire days worth of billing. Thats how strongly we believe that our customers deserve web hosting that is always available, every single day.

JaguarPCs generous SLA is a testament to the companys intelligent and robust network design and its deep understanding of the issues facing the average web hosting user. With the latest overhaul of the JaguarPC network, JaguarPC is prepared to deliver efficient, dependable, and powerful web hosting well into the future.

Tampa. FL (PRWEB) March 02, 2012

Savtira Corporation today announced the launch of 4 of 11 planned Enterprise Cloud Commerce and EDN Application Streaming Data Centers to provide service for the USA and Europe. The active data centers are located in Tampa, San Jose, New York City and Amsterdam.

Savtira is building one of the fastest GPU/CPU blade server clustered environments in the world, said Timothy Munro Roberts, Chairman and CEO of Savtira Corporation. Our Data Centers will be able to take on all the challenges of modern cloud commerce and application streaming with ease.

Savtiras eStore clients receive access to an extensive media network that includes comprehensive redundancy, scalability, performance and manageability. Savtiras self-healing hosting environment ensures 99.999% uptime and allows for rapid scalability while allowing for central management. Savtiras network hubs are connected via fiber and termination with DWDM providing 40Gbps of connectivity between data centers. This allows Savtiras network to scale bandwidth as needed to deliver eCommerce and media.

Savtira Corporation is the first ever Cloud Commerce company to use a cost-effective blade environment that processes more streams with a smaller footprint than current streaming providers. All Savtira data centers have UCS servers with blade chassis that hold 16 graphics processing units (GPUs). Savtiras service aims to maximize the blade environments benefits of scale and to pass those benefits on to its eStore retail clients. Blade servers generate an enormous amount of processing power on a very small footprint. GPUs deliver the same performance as CPUs for 1/20 of the power consumption and 1/10 the cost. Each GPU processor exceeds 400 cores: multiply that times sixteen GPUs and you get a whopping amount of processing power that was only available before by using a very large number of CPU-based systems.

Savtiras Tier 1 and Tier 2 Data Centers are reliable and reach key markets:

????99.999% uptime

????No single point of failure

????Virtualized cloud environment fully meshed between 11 Data Centers for maximum redundancy and seamless failover

????Network Operating Center monitoring 24×7/365 through out-of-band network

????Point-to-point, meshed, dedicated circuits to provide high-availability of mission-critical sites

????Performance-based DNS load balancing

“Savtiras Data Centers give retailers and publishers access to advanced storage and streaming technology,” said Michael Avina, Chief Technology Officer of Savtira Corporation. ” Our clients can focus on growing their business rather worrying about how they are going to securely store data and stream applications and the costs associated with server maintenance and bandwidth.

Can anyone please explain how to subnet any given IP address?

-

Question by volcomkid252: Can anyone please explain how to subnet any given IP address?
if you were given say 209.1.3.0 and you were told to subnet this IP address for 8 subnets and maximize hosts for each subnet.

and could you do the same with 12 subnets?
i know the idea of subnetting, cause ima taking a class but i just want to hear it from someone else.

Best answer:

Answer by wetcpu
subnets can be complex to explain; more than this space will allow.

However, you can only divide up an address space in groups that are divisible by powers of 2 ( typically 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256).

So it is possible to evenly divide a class ‘c’ range (your example, 209.1.3.0) into 8 groups, but not 12. To get 12 networks you would need to divide the space up into either 16 groups, or divided into groups of different sizes (8 groups of 16, 4 groups of 32).

In 209.1.3.0, you are dividing the last octet into 8 groups. The last octet is represented by 256 bits. 256/8 = 32. So each subnet has 32 addresses in it:
209.1.3.0 – 209.1.3.31
209.1.3.32 – 209.1.3.63
and so on to
209.1.3.224 – 209.1.3.253

Each subnet has a subnet mask of 255.255.255.224 (256-32)
