Question by creative: I want to host 5 sites under one hosting account 1 ip.?
I have 5 domains, that I want to host under one account. I want each to be its own individual site. Will this hurt me as far as seo. I know it would be better for me to purchase 5 c classes with different ips, but I am on a budget. Should I only launch one site for now until I can afford the 5 ip’s or would it be ok for me to host all under the one account. Please do not respond to this question if you are not sure. These sites will be 5 blogs, completely different from each other, but promoting each other in some form or another.

People are saying with the same ip the engines will say, im trying tho promote the same sites hosting on same server. That’s what I am asking about. Seo. I’m doing blogs and don’t want ranking to be hurt by having same ip. Although i am on a budget.

Dotnetnuke is a very interesting idea. I think I will do further research into it. I think it may be a bit advanced for me. I’m still trying to stay up to date with mysql and php. This would be something totally new to me.

I’m looking for a cheap web host with a dedicated IP address that is located in the United States. I was going to go with Galaxy visions but upon dealing with their sales/support staff I realized they were a VERY small company that could fold overnight. There is a sea of hosts out there, but not many in the United States that offer dedicated IP addresses for a good price…any suggestions?

Question by : Hosting a server, need ip adress help!?
I am currently hosting a Garry’s Mod Server and a Mine Craft server. I also have a Ventrilo Server. My question is that in order for people to connect, i have to give them my ip address. I do not mind giving my ip out to my friends, but i am nervous about posting that information on the web publicly. I have seen that some mine craft and ventrilo servers have people connect by giving them a web address.
Example: minecraft.server.com
So my question is how do I make my ip aaddresslook like the example above? (Not minecraft.server.com specifically but you know what I mean)
Thanks for the answers so far. I Now realize that anyone can get my ip if I do this. However, i still like the idea of making my ip look different as it looks better and is easier to remember for people joining.

This is exactly the same as giving your IP address. Just try in cmd window typing :
nslookup www.yahoo.com or any other web address.
